Jennifer Lawrence dropped by "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Monday night and compared herself to someone unexpected - Lindsay Lohan. The star of the upcoming film "Joy" told the host that she experienced stomach issues on the set of the film, and how her excessive puking caused to become exhausted.
"I'm a puker," Lawrence joked in her interview with Colbert. "I don't stop working because I am a show pony. I don't have a choice. So I just keep going until my body is like, 'If we don't make her barf or pass out, she won't stop.' I get like, Lindsay Lohan-grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol. I'm always in bed early. I'm still tired."
Lohan's little sister, Aliana Lohan, responded to Lawrence's remarks on Twitter and defended her sister when she said she was "disappointed in Jennifer Lawrence." Lindsay responded to her sister's tweet by thanking her and then suggested Lawrence support others like Maya Angelou did, and included a picture of a quote from her poem "Still I Rise."
"You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes, you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I'll rise," Lindsay quoted in the tweet.
Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan, also weighed in on Lawrence's comments.
"We love Jennifer Lawrence, we have always been fans of hers," Dina said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. "It was all unfortunate that she used Lindsay as a reference of not showing up to set, and that whole bit. It was disappointing that she didn't have her peers' back. You shouldn't trash anyone, it was just surprising. My family sticks together."
