Justin Bieber took to his Instagram account to fire back at the media for all the negative coverage in the past few weeks about him going to rehab and family disappointments.
It's been a rough couple of weeks for Bieb. After cancelling a concert and showing up late for another, the "Baby" singer took to his Instagram account to vent.
"Getting tired of all the negative coverage and "continuous lies" from the media, he wrote. "Everyone in my team has been telling me, 'keep the press happy,' but I'm tired of all the countless lies in the press right now."
However, according to a report by MTV, the post was removed two hours later.
Nonetheless, the singer continued ranting in a 300-word post about the lies the media has released about his career, family and health. Bieber clarified that the news about him going to rehab was a complete lie and that his dad was "beyond proud" of him.
He said that his grandparents wouldn't know how to react to all this negative press news even if they wanted to. The statement came in response to reports that said Bieber's grandparents were totally disappointed with his recent actions and didn't approve of the crew he's been working with.
The singer, who turned 19, said that anyone who thought he needed rehab was utterly "stupid".
"I know who I am and I know who I'm not," he wrote. "My message is to believe. My albums could be about anything but my messages have been to never say never and believe, not to believe in me, but to believe in yourself .. I honestly don't care if you don't believe in me because I believe in me, and look where that's gotten me so far ... I'm writing this with a smile on my face and love in my heart. Letting u know firsthand how I feel rather than have these story linger. I'm a good person with a big heart. And don't think I deserve all of this negative press I've worked my ass off to get where I am and my hard work doesn't stop here. I'm growing up finding myself while having people watch me and criticize me every day I think I'm doing pretty damn good."
Signing off, Bieber made a sarcastic comment about his financial status saying that before comparing him to Lindsay Lohan, people should have a look at her "2012 tax statements."
However, later the post mentioning Lohan was reposted with some amendments. The singer said all the negative posts sometimes gets hard and makes him angry; afterall he's human too.
