LG Z Smartphone Release Date, Specs: Smartphone tablet Hybrid with Flexible Screen to Debut October

LG will launch in October its latest addition to its G series of smartphone line, the LG Z featuring a flexible screen similar to its curved OLED LG TV.

According to a report from ZDNet Korea, LG Z will soon be released this month by LG, one of Korea's popular phone giants. It is speculated that its release of the flexible screen smart phone and tablet in one is its strategic move to level the competition with its biggest rival Samsung, another Korean brand.

Rumors are going around that LG's competitor will soon launch its own flexible phone. Samsung, according to speculations, will be releasing a new Samsung Galaxy Note 3, a special edition featuring a screen of 5.9 inches and a processor of Snapdragon 800.

This is quite similar to the features that LG Z will have. It has a flexible and curved screen, possibly with a six-inch screen, and a Snapdragon quad-core processor.

According to leaked report, the new featured screen is quite similar to the curved OLED LG TV which has a concave screen. The fixed screen is not physically flexible but the visual effect of the curve on the screen promises to be breathtaking.

Possibly an addition to LG's G series of Smartphone product lines, the LG Z is also said to be very similar to the LG G2 which has 1080p resolution and the latest LTE connectivity.

It cannot be predicted yet how much of these flexible devices would receive far-reaching adoption around the globe. Obviously, the Smartphone and tablet market competition is extremely stiff. This could be the reason both LG and Samsung are said to be limiting initial release of the new flexible gadgets within their home market grounds to get a feel of the market's behaviors.
