Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson from "The Bachelor" have split.
"After meeting over a year ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship," Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson said in a joint statement to In Touch magazine on Friday. "The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both and ultimately we started to grow apart because of distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers."
Flajnik also told his host Chris Harrison that Robertson might not be the same girl he saw on TV as the couple broke off up while the show was being aired.
"Those are the moments and the instances that led to Courtney and I not talking for a time while the show aired. We were essentially broken up," he said.
Flajnik and Robertson displayed a strong relationship and unconditional love for each other. They also tried living together in San Francisco. According to a report from RadarOnline it was also learned that Flajnik cheated on Robertson and pictures of Flajnik kissing another woman were revealed.
"I have not hooked up with another woman -- on my father's grave. Those women they mentioned are my friends in San Francisco," a source said Flajnik said.
That did not end the relationship but Robertson forgave him and gave their relationship another chance to work towards their future hoping things would fall in the right place. Eventually, things didn't seem to work out well for them.
In April, Flajnik told People that they are trying to know more about each other before taking bigger decisions in life.
"We're still in the early stages so we're learning a lot about each other, spending as much time with each other," He said. "We're slowing acclimating our lives together and our friends together. It's going really well."
According to InTouch magazine speaking about their ended relationship, the couple showed care and support towards each other.
"We have nothing but the utmost respect for each other, and both feel this is the right decision," the couple stated. "We continue to remain friends and will support each other in future endeavors. Thanks to everyone for your love and support, it's been quite a ride."
Flagnik has not been sulking over the split whereas on Friday he posted on Sulia.com through Twitter that he is going out of San Francisco for the weekend.
"Welp, another weekend ahead and there is so much going on in San Francisco, I can't even begin to tell you how crazy of a weekend it's going to be."
