Lady Gaga ‘Devastated & Sad’ After Postponing Tour Dates Due To Severe Joint Inflammation

Pop star Lady Gaga's concert injury has resulted in severe inflammation of the joints forcing her to postpone her upcoming shows in Chicago, Detroit, and Hamilton, Ontario, according to an update on her official website, Tuesday.

Lady Gaga is suffering from synovitis, an inflammation of joints. She did not disclose it to any staff member until the pain was unbearable. Gaga addressed her 34 million followers on Twitter with a series of tweets expressing her grief and pain. She further apologized to each one who expected the singer to perform two shows in Chicago on Wednesday and Thursday, Detroit on Saturday, and in Hamilton, Ontario, on Sunday.

"I am completely devastated and heartsick," Gaga said in a statement issued on her official site. "I've been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night's performance I could not walk. To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now. I would do anything for you. I will hopefully heal as soon as possible and be at 500% again, which is what you deserve."

Her tweets also assured her fans a speedy recovery and rescheduled dates for her shows to perform at her best. Gaga chose to postpone the dates than cancel the shows.

Lady Gaga has been traveling across the world for her "Born This Way Ball" tour for two years. The tour dates for her other shows will be as scheduled and postponed dates for her missed shows will be announced soon, according to the statement issued on her site.

Ticket holders can either opt to get a refund for their tickets at the point of purchase or retain their tickets for rescheduled concerts.
