Let the debates begin. 2K Sports has announced additional player ratings for “NBA 2K14.” Both Ronnie 2K and the 2K Twitter account announced these ratings:

Cody Zeller—68

Trey Burke—73

Otto Porter—74

Mario Chalmers—76

Jamal Crawford—80

Brook Lopez—81

Paul George—88

Stephen Curry—88

Derrick Rose—92

Here are the previously released ratings, according to CBS Sports:

Chris Johnson—66

Peyton Siva—67

Cody Zeller—68

Nerlens Noel—72

Ben McLemore—72

Jared Dudley—73

Victor Oladipo—76

Evan Turner—76

Anthony Bennett—76

Roy Hibbert—81

Pau Gasol—81

Monta Ellis—82

John Wall—85

Russell Westbrook—91

Carmelo Anthony—92

Kevin Durant—94

LeBron James—99

LeBron’s rating is definitely the least controversial. In fact the argument can be made that it should be higher. Nevertheless, I don’t think most fans are going to be too broken up about him sitting at 99.

The most controversial rating goes to Derrick Rose. It seems NBA 2K is thinking along the same lines as many Bulls fans in hoping that Rose, who has missed nearly a year and a half, will come back with full strength and be just as devastating as he was in his MVP season. As we get close to October 1, it will be interesting to see which players get a bump in ratings and which get a cut. For example, will Dwyane Wade’s performance in last year’s playoffs hurt his rating? Will Tony Parker finally get the video game respect he deserves? Where will the young superstar Kyrie Irving be ranked after a breakout season?

The current-gen version of “NBA 2K14” hits stores Oct. 1.
