“Fast and Furious 7” has added another action-specialist to its ranks, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Actor Tony Jaa will be joining the high-speed franchise on the big screen next summer.
As of right now, Jaa’s role in the movie is unknown. However, he’s joining fellow actions stars such as Jason Statham, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and “Vin Diesel,” so it’s sure to be good.
Jaa idols are Jackie Chan and Jet Li—two of the best action stars in the history of the big screen.
The 37-year old is extremely popular in his home country of Thailand.
"I have been a big fan of the Fast and Furious franchise," Jaa wrote in an email to THR. "The films are fast-paced, fun and keep the audience involved. There is a great mix of humor and action, something I really appreciate. There is no better film to be involved in for a first U.S. studio production."
“Fast & Furious 7” will mark the first time Jaa is in an English-speaking movie.
Locations for the filming of the movie have also been released. The locations include, Japan, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Colorado, and United Arab Emirates.
Egypt was originally supposed to be on this list but the unrest in the country discouraged the “F&F” team from filming there.
“Fast and Furious 7” will hit theaters July 11, 2014.
The story will center on Ian Shaw’s (Statham) revenge on Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his all-star caliber team for their take down of Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), Ian’s brother.
