Police have arrested four tourists who are reportedly responsible for getting naked and possibly causing an earthquake on Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia, according to The Telegraph.

Detaining the people was not easy, however, as one of the individuals, a British woman, Elanor Hawkins, was arrested shortly after the crime at the country's Tawau Airport on Tuesday, according to CNN. Three others, two Canadian brothers and a Dutch woman, surrendered Tuesday.

"She's kind of relieved because she saw it coming," the British woman's father, Tim Hawkins, told The Guardian after she made headlines when he asked law enforcement officials to not use his daughter as a lesson to teach what not to do when visiting an attraction. "It's good to know where she is. It is not the kind of situation you envisage when your daughter goes travelling."

There has also been speculation that the tourists' behavior caused Mount Kinabalu to split and cost 18 people their lives

"I never said that they actually caused the earthquake but their actions were against the people of the largest tribe in Sabah. The mountain is a revered and sacred site," Sabah provincial tourism minister Masidi Manjun told The Telegraph.
