Comic-Con begins it four-day event on July 18, and with so many shows regarding toys, comics, books, software, food and just about everything in-between, you're probably asking yourself what spectacles you wish to attend.

You will be witnessing everything from Darth Vader to Katniss Everdeen costumes, but do not let the fanboys (and girls) distract you from your true purpose. If you are a film buff, you must take advantage of the sneak peaks and trailing showings.

If you're on a time crunch and can only make a limited amount of feature events, check the following list for my top 5 films to check out, in no particular order. Of course, be sure to check Comic-Con's official website for updates.

1. Godzilla

Saturday @ 10:45am

Legendary Pictures has remade the classic monster-terrorizing-earth film. Yes, Godzilla is back against more creatures that have been genetically engineered by humans.

It takes place Saturday, July 20 from 10:45am-1:15pm in Hall H.

2. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Saturday @ 1:35pm

Even if you're not a "Hunger Games" fan, this is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2013. Catching Fire follows the story of Katniss Everdeen's (Jennifer Lawrence) return home after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games. Everdeen must now defend her title on a Victor's tour of the districts, and thus the games begin.

This panel will take place all at Hall H on Saturday, July 20 from 1:35pm-2:35pm.

3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Saturday @ 6:00pm

Marvel Studios has been keeping themselves busy, and with a look at the new Captain America AND Thor: The Dark World, you may as well drop everything to see this. I mean, it's COMIC-con; this is the stuff we live for.

The panel will take place from 6:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday, July 20.

4. Riddick

Friday @ 12:15pm

Vin Diesel, co-stars Katee Sackhoff and Dave Bautista, as well as director David Twohy take the stage for this year's 2013 Comic-Con panel. AND you will also get a sneak peak of the new Kick-Ass film. Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) and Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) all return to the big screen as the crime fighting vigilantes.

Both panels on Friday, July 19 from 12:15pm-1:15pm at Hall H.

5. The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Friday @ 4:05pm

This film speaks for itself and the incredible panel will take place on Friday, July 19 from 4:05-6:15pm in Hall H.

Oh, and the new Robocop film will be unveiled, too, if the title of this film hasn't convinced you to attend this event.
