North Carolina police say a teacher accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student got a tattoo of the student's initials and likeness.

Michelle Smith White, of Durham, allegedly had sex with the teenage girl while she taught dance at Jordan High School in 2012, WRAL reported. Investigators also found evidence suggesting the 37-year-old teacher had a threesome with the girl and her own husband, according to a Durham County Sheriff's Office affidavit obtained by the station.

Police executed a search warrant at White's home last Thursday and seized computers, cellphones, tablets, cameras and handwritten notes from her husband to the 15-year-old girl.

Two framed photographs of the girl and the Whites were found hanging in the couple's bedroom, the News & Observer reported. Police also confiscated a video tape with the girl's name on it, according to the search warrant.

The same warrant told officers to take a picture of White's tattoo, which has the teenager's name, initials and an "artist rendering which would be symbolic of the juvenile," according to WRAL.

Investigators said the teacher first became friends with the alleged victim when she was 15 in July 2012. The relationship turned into to a sexual one, with authorities finding text messages between the two "which includes the wording 'threesome' and alluding to the involvement of Ms. White's husband Phillip White," according to the search warrant obtained by the News & Observer.

White resigned from Jordan High School in April after the student's parents asked her not to have contact with their daughter. The teacher was arrested and charged in July with taking indecent liberties and sexual offence with a student. The search warrant alleges her sexual relationship with the student continued for two months after she resigned.

As of Tuesday the husband, Phillip White, has not been charged in connection to the case. He showed up at his wife's first court appearance and the two exited the courtroom holding hands, the News & Observer reported.
