Robert Downey Jr. is ready to reprise his role as Tony Stark in “Captain America 3.”
The actor spoke with Yahoo! Movies, teasing fans about his upcoming role in his second Marvel franchise crossover. Downey Jr. explained the film is “gonna be huge” and “very exciting.” Watch the actor’s interview in the video below.
Speaking of Tony Stark, it remains unclear if Downey will be starring in a fourth “Iron Man” movie. The actor recently stopped by “The Late Show” with David Letterman. Downey and Letterman pressed him about the rumored fourth installment.
"There [are] no plans for an 'Iron Man 4,'" he said. "That's a valid question. Like it hasn't made enough money? Yeah, I guess they have too much money or something. There is no script for 'Iron Man 4.' They do have a plan and I think they're going to announce it [soon]."
However, Letterman didn’t accept his answer as Downey has been teasing fans of a possible “Iron Man” return on different talk shows, including “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where he “confirmed” the movie was in the works.
"Just between us, no," Downey told Letterman. "But, I'm going to do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still going to be involved with Marvel and there's going to be plenty of fun stuff to happen."
“Captain America 3” starring Chris Evans and Downey is slated to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
