A London woman is taking "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" to a whole new level. 24-year-old Claire Leeson has gone broke after shelling out almost $30,000 to look like Kim Kardashian. Leeson told ITV's "This Morning" that she is currently thousands of dollars in debt because of her transformation.
The London resident told "This Morning" that she first took an obsessive interest in Kardashian back in 2009 after watching an episode of the family's E! reality show. Leeson said one of the reasons she was attracted to the reality star, now 33, was because they have the same number of siblings.
"We have the same kind of arguments and things going on," Leeson told "This Morning." "I thought she was so beautiful and I really wanted to be like her."
The young woman has spent nearly $8,500 for breast augmentation, a couple thousand dollars on teeth whitening and about $1,700 on spray tans so she could have Kardashian's glow. Leeson also shelled out a ton of money for a designer wardrobe and high-end shoes.
"When I get my Kimmy on I feel like I'm unstoppable," she told the morning show.
In order to achieve Kardashian's famous curves, Leeson revealed that she wears silicone padding in her underwear, but is hoping one day she can get butt implants because she knows her "bum is never going to be as big as Kim's."
The cost to keep up with the reality star has landed Leeson in debt "up top my eyeballs," she told the show. The woman said she owes several credit cards almost $10,000.
"My job doesn't pay enough," she said. "I'm in major debt. I say that I'm going to pay them but as soon as money comes in, I just think about getting my Kimmy on."
And Leeson has no plans on stopping her Kardashian obsession. She told "This Morning" that her transformation began because she was bulled in school and now, as a Kardashian look-alike, she feels "strong."
"I feel that I have built enough confidence to love myself a little bit more," Leeson said.
