Sony Entertainment Network may have accidentally leaked the release date for Ubisoft's upcoming game "Watch Dogs."

The next-gen title's release was delayed last October after the development team decided they needed more time to work out the kinks in the game.

"We know a lot of you are probably wondering: Why now? We struggled with whether we would delay the game," the "Watch Dogs" development teams said in a statement.  "But from the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality. As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune each detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience."

Since the announcement of the delay, Ubisoft has not confirmed a new launch date for its highly anticipated title. However, Sony may have jumped the gun by posting a new release date for "Watch Dogs" on their website. After an eight-month delay, gamers might finally get their hands on the game on June 30, 2014.

For those unfamiliar with what the game is about, check out Sony's official description of "Watch Dogs" below:

"Hacking is your weapon. Control the city of Chicago. Become Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker but also a former thug, whose criminal past lead to a violent family tragedy. While on the hunt for those responsible, you will be able to tap into the city's omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control systems such as traffic lights and the electrical grid to stop a chase, and more. Now the city of Chicago has become your ultimate weapon to exact your own style of revenge."
