Britney Spears' Ex-Husband Jason Alexander Arrested
Pop sensation Spears' ex-husband, Alexander, has found himself in hot water once again, making headlines for all the wrong reasons. As per TMZ, the Tennessee police arrested him on charges of stalking.
It is hard to forget that fateful year when Alexander and Spears tied the knot for just 55 hours back in 2004, making history as one of the shortest celebrity marriages ever. Their love affair may have been fleeting, but it seems that Alexander's infatuation with the pop princess never truly faded.
According to Radar Online, the latest arrest adds up to the long criminal history of Spears' ex-husdand. He previously faced charges for trespassing, stalking, and parole violation.
TMZ notes that the court documents shows that the Tennessee police took Alexander into custody at rouhgly 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 2. The arrest record further disclosed that the arrest was over an alleged stalking incident. It has yet to be determined if Spears' former husband posted bail.
It is also unclear if Spears had anything to do with the arrest of her ex-husdand. However, as The Daily Mail UK reports, the sensational star recently posted a video showcasing her dancing prowess in her Southern California home a day before the Tennessee incident.
Jason Alexander's Stalking History
It is not the first instance that Alexander grappled with stalking charges. Roughly a year ago, or on June 2022, he crashed at Spears' house in Thousand Oaks, hours before tying the note with her husband, Sam Asghari.
The pop star's former husdand crashed into Spears' fairytale wedding, donning a white prison jumpsuit and a knife. After the incident, the authorities charged him with vandalism, battery, felony stalking, and refusing to leave private property.
Months after, or in August 2022, the court convicted Alexander of battery and tresspassing after the pop star's ex-husband pleaded no contest to the charges. The authorities pointed out that he crashed the ceremony, which high-profile figures like Madonna and Paris Hilton attended.
Alexander dashed to the wedding tent to insist that he is the husband of the sensational singer. He shouted, "[She is] my first wife, [she is] my only wife."
Due to the gate-crashing incident, the court granted Spears a three-year restraining order against her previous lover since he was armed with a knife.
