Barack Obama has been selected as most admired man of the US in 2016 with President-elect Donald Trump in the second place, according to a survey conducted by Gallup Poll.

Hilary Clinton is voted as the most admired woman in the USA for the 15th time in a row. Since 1993, Clinton was voted as the most admired lady for 21 times.

She only lost the honor to Mother Teresa in 1995 and 1996, and to Laura Bush in 2001. Michelle Obama comes second in the list.

About 22 percent favored Obama, 15 percent for Trump while 12 percent for Clinton. The polling has left a significant mark considering the fact that Barack Obama will not be President anymore. The margin between Donald Trump and the former first lady Hilary Clinton was also significantly close as well.

The polling was held on December 7 to 11 among samples of 1000 respondents with +/- 4 percent margin of errors.
