After months of expected delay, Google finally releases Android 7.0 Nougat update for Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE.

Although, Nexus 6 Android 7.0 Nougat update contains the October security patch while the Nexus 9 LTE only has access to the September security patch. The October security patch addresses some important security vulnerabilities.

Android Police got a confirmation straight from Google in September that Android 7.0 Nougat will indeed be rolled out to Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE.

Android 7.0 Nougat basic features from Google include VR support or Daydream, Quick Switch, Multi-window, additional power competence, enhanced Java 8 language support, Google Assistant, smooth updates, push notifications and direct reply notifications.

Users are strongly encouraged to back-up, charge and check for space and internet connection.
