After a speculation that Kevin Durant threw words that his team won't really beat Cleveland Cavaliers, Stephen Curry reacted and slammed Durant. Further, it was rumored that he threatened to leave Golden State Warriors and that because some are putting the blame on him for the weak finals performance.
As what have been previously reported, the team sacrificed a lot just to acquire Kevin Durant. The Warriors had a number of key players to let go which caused for their diminished backup talents. Even if the acquisition of Durant made the Warriors a smaller team, it also gave them the label as the strongest the previous season.
However, what happened was the opposite since Kevin Durant just contributed with 9 points on a 2-for-9 cutting shots. It seemed like the overall offense of the team was not that good and that 2 time MVP Stephen Curry played unenthusiastically.
According to the Morning Ledger, rumor has it that Stephen Curry mocked Durant's kind of play which probably had contributed to the team's lost to the Cavs last season for the championship title. But Curry discredited the rumor and added that Durant can handle it well at the end of the day.
Stephen Curry was not really prepared to play during the Finals since injuries caught up with the point guard. The head coach, Steve Kerr even admitted that Curry was hurt but that it should not made as an excuse he added. With this, some blame the 2 time MVP.
As a result, there is a speculation that Stephen Curry will be leaving Golden State Warriors but there is no established basis for this as Sportsrageous reported that he has no plans of leaving the team.
The whole GS Warriors knows that Curry is not the person to blame since the team just lost focus on pounding on the team's struggles.
As all eyes are on Golden State Warriors as the upcoming season will unveil in just a few months. In no way Stephen Curry will leave GS Warriors as it the upcoming NBA season will be crucial for the team to regain at the same time the championship title.
