As time passes by, more and more technological advances have been made regarding gadgets in the tech world. But one specific device has been much awaited for some time now.

According to sources, the release might not be this year because of its hardware manufacturing. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has been expected to have the best specs for a portable personal computer. Fans have been waiting eagerly for this high tech device since its rumors of development.

Rumors of Release

Though Microsoft has been quiet about the exact release date, it was expected to be on 2016. According to iDigitalTimes, the claim of this release date is not that solid and with only a quarter of the year left, it might be moved to early 2017.

In a report by MNR Daily, instead of the Surface Pro 5, Microsoft will unveil a different gadget that is the Surface All-in-One (AIO) PC on October 2016. But on IBTimes also reports that alongside the AIO release will be the launch of Surface Pro 5. Generally, most sources are expecting the release of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 on 2017.

Specifications and Features

Surface Pro 5 is likely to run a 4K resolution display as an upgrade but will not be available on the base unit. The Kaby Lake chipset which is the latest development of the renowned brand Intel is going to be its processor.

The main camera of Surface Pro 5 will have 16 megapixels and a front camera will have 8 megapixels. It is also rumored to have a stunning 16 GB RAM. With the speculation of moving the release date to 2017, the reason is probably because it will incorporate the update of Windows 10 Redstone 2 as its operating system.

Manufacturing companies have just recently started to procure the chips for the processor which makes it likely that its full distribution will be next year. This adds more to the rumors of its delayed release.
