20th Century Fox just confirmed that the production of Maze Runner: The Death Cure will continue in February 2017 and its official premiere will be in January 2018.
Although the production of Maze Runner: The Death Cure had been shutdown last March, fans must expect the Gladers to envoy in another amazing and death-defying runs to fight their way off against WCKD. The production was reportedly postponed to give time for Dylan O'Brien, who potray main character Thomas, to recover after being severely injured while on set.
Deadline reportred that during the filming of Maze Runner: The Death Cure O'Brien fractured his cheekbone and his orbital socket after he fell off the back of a set that was supposed to look like the back of train. The actor fell on his face and was immediately hospitalized.
Afterwhich, the production studio 20th Century Fox released an statement stating, "Dylan O'Brien was injured yesterday [March 28] while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery."
In another report of Gospel Herald, Maze Runner producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura revealed that the injury was actually worse that what is being publicized. He shared, "It was more than disconcerting. I never saw him in his worst form, but it was described to me. It was really scary. He came closed to dying, I'm pretty sure. It was enough to shake your core."
As per the synopsis, Maze Runner: The Death Cure will follow Thomas and other surviving Gladers as they face WCKD and fight their way in finding a cure for a deadly disease called 'The Flare' that has wiped out most of the world.
