FC Barcelona confirmed that their star player, Lionel Messi, will not be playing for three weeks following a groin injury during their 1-1 draw game against Atletico Madrid.

Messi will be missing the game on Sept. 28 against Borussia Monchengladbach (Champions League), Oct. 2 against Celta Vigo (La Liga), Oct. 7 against Peru and Oct. 12 against Paraguay (World Cup qualifier) for Argentina, Dail Mail reported.

On the other hand, Edgardo Bauza, Argentina team coach said Barcelona failed to take care of Messi. He said that Messi is a star player and needs some serious care especially after this injury.

Most of Messi's fans agreed to Bauza's statement and some even think that Barcelona treats the player quite "strange." It is known that Messi suffered the same injury during the last international break. Amid that, Barcelona had him played through the injury that may worsen the problem to the point that he may not be able to play again, as reported by World News By Day.

The Argentine FA contacted Barcelona to apologize for Bauza'a comments about the star player's injury. According to Josep Vives, Barcelona spokesman, Argentine FA assured that it is not Bauza's intention to make bad comments. He also added that the Argentina and Barcelona will work together to make sure that Messi will recover as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach showed a sporting gesture via Twitter: "What a pity! We would have liked to have seen you on Wednesday with @FCBarcelona at Borussia Park. Get well, Lionel Messi."

Messi, on the other hand, took time to thank the opponent and promised to come back stronger.
