Nexus 7 vs. Galaxy Tab S3: Who wins the race with great specifications, affordability? : Tech : HNGN

The latest version of Google Nexus 7 and Galaxy Tab S3 suggest that both devices introduced state-of-the-art features and specifications in the market such as the Snapdragon chipset, high internal storage units, Exynos processor and many more.

However, Galaxy Tab S3 could be a better deal for customers, in terms of value for money, as compared to the Google device which is more towards the niche sector.

Nexus 7 would be launched in two variants - Pixel and Pixel XL with a similar look and feel as compared to the previous releases. On the other hand, the Samsung device may be launched in two variants of different aesthetics - in terms of screen size and chassis curvature.

Both devices are quite different in terms of their display features as well, wherein Nexus 7 would be launched with a 7 inch screen with a Quad AMOLED display having different resolutions for both the variants. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, on the other hand, would have 8 inch and 9.7 inch screens with a consistent 4k resolution, Mobile & App reports.

Considering the performance related specifications, Google Nexus 7 would have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset complemented by 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage unit. The Samsung counterpart would have an octa-core Exynos 8890 processor, a 4 GB RAM with an option of 32 or 64 GB of internal storage memory.

Nexus 7 overpowers the Galaxy Tab S3 in terms of camera pixels as well, with a 13 megapixel rear camera while the latter has 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera, International Business Times reports.

The same holds true for battery power as well where Nexus 7 overpowers its Samsung competitor by 5100 to 4000 mAh.

Both the device has certain similarities as well - in terms of USD Type-C connectivity for high speed data transfer. The former would run on Android 6.0.2 operating system while the latter needs to the installed on Android 7.0 version.

Lastly, all of these features and specifications would be made available by Samsung for $420, while the offer price is expected to be much higher for Nexus 7.
