Resident Evil 7 is bringing back the Green Herbs, a healing feature in the classic game as announced in the latest Capcom newsletter.

Green Herbs has been one of the signature feature of the video game from the start and it's going to have a comeback in the upcoming game. However, reports said that the herbs may have a new twist and may be bought from an in-door vendor where one can buy and sell items.

With this comes another revelation that the Merchant from Resident Evil 4 may also return.

"Take a first look at the healing items in the game! Oh wait... what's this coin doing here?," says the caption of the photo showing the Green Herbs of different sizes beside a gold coin.

A source said that the coin may also mean that the player can 'cough up some cash' before the healing system can proceed.

Previously, Resident Evil producer Masachika Kawata preempted that the game may 'return to horror' while retaining its combat and gunplay focus. She also talked about RE's full game and what to expect in it.

RE fans may also expect that the upcoming game will be set in a modern day, '"foreboding, derelict plantation mansion in rural America' where all the challenges to survive begins.

To date, information about the game is still scarce but sources are expecting to get more spoilers and updates at the Tokyo Game Show in September.
