WARNING: The following contains possible spoilers for "The Walking Dead" series.

AMC's "The Walking Dead" ended its sixth season on a controversial note. On one hand, the show finally introduced fan favorite villain Negan, widely considered the best bad guy in the entire comic series. Jeffrey Dean Morgan sparkled in the role, and the character promises to be a source of entertaining contention for the next few seasons perhaps.

But on the other hand, Negan's big introduction was undercut by the decision to end the season on an ill-advised cliffhanger. What was the most pivotal moment in the source material suddenly became a poorly orchestrated soap opera moment on screen.

It was disappointing to say the least.

While we still don't know who exactly was on the receiving end of Negan's bat in that finale, we do have a few details on what fans can expect in season seven. Thanks to The Spoiling Dead Fans for staking out the show's filming locations in Atlanta to bring us these little tidbits.

To recap:

- Daryl, Dwight, Negan and other Saviors reportedly filmed scenes that take place at the Sanctuary, the Saviors' headquarters in the comic book. If true, this would mean that Daryl was not the one killed in the season six finale. Whew, that's a load off my shoulders. Now we don't have to riot.

- A car chase scene was filmed that involved Dwight and other Saviors pursuing another Savior attempting to defect. It's interesting that the show is revealing some cracks in the armor of this new villainous group and dissension among the ranks. I like that they aren't all powerful. Anyway, the chase ends in a crash and an exchange of gun fire. It also sounds like Dwight is wearing Daryl's vest. What's with this guy and his creepy obsession with Daryl? Get over yourself, bro.

- Daryl attempts to escape the Saviors' stronghold, though he isn't successful. While that's obviously bad news, it's further evidence that Daryl is not the one killed in the season six finale. I can't stress how good of news that is; though, admittedly, none of this bodes well for the character that was killed by Negan in the comics. So this is sort of like a good news/bad news update.

We'll keep you posted as more details, spoilers and leaked information emerge. "The Walking Dead" will return to AMC for a seventh season in October.
