Denver Broncos safety Darian Stewart suffered a slight MCL sprain in the third quarter of Sunday's AFC Championship game, but should be able to play in Super Bowl 50, according to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport.

Stewart has been a big addition in Denver in his first season with the Broncos, and has recorded 63 combined tackles, two fumble recoveries, and an interception. The Broncos safety intercepted Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and was a big reason the Broncos are heading back to the Super Bowl.

This is Stewart's first chance to play in a Super Bowl, as spent his first four seasons in the league with St. Louis Rams and last season with the Baltimore Ravens. The Denver Broncos' defense is quickly becoming a team that will be remembered for years to come, and players don't want to miss any part of their chance to become a part of football history. Broncos strong safety T.J. Ward also injured his ankle in Sunday's Championship game, but is expected to play in Super Bowl 50 as well, according to NFL reporter Marc Sessler.

"Hell yeah I will be ready for Super Bowl," said Stewart, via the Denver Post. The Broncos face the team that posted the best record in NFL this year in the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, but based on what the Broncos defense did to New England's offense on Sunday no one should count them out.
