DJ Daniel Kim has released the 2015 edition of his annual "Pop Danthology," a mashup of the year's biggest pop hits, UpRoxx reported. Kim split the year into two different mashups because of the sheer amount of music released in the past year, and he included some of pop's heavy-hitters like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Fetty Wap, Drake and The Weeknd.
Kim has been making his end-of-the-year mashups since 2010, according to a blog post on his official website. His 2012 mashup went viral and has been a yearly tradition for the Canadian-based DJ. He explained why this year's mashup had to be split up into two parts.
"For the first time, I am releasing two Danthologies at once. With music from all over the world becoming more and more accessible, it has become increasingly more challenging to satisfy my fans and fit in all of their many favourite songs in my year-end mashup," Kim explained on his blog. "I found myself cutting down so much of the original musical pieces just to 'jam' in as many songs as I could. Not only was the work process not as enjoyable this way but the resulting sound was more choppy."
The first mashup is made up of 45 songs, including Ariana Grande's "One Last Time," Demi Lovato's "Cool For the Summer," Drake's "Know Yourself," Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" and "My Way," Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean?," Maroon 5's "Sugar" and Zedd's "I Want You To Know" featuring Selena Gomez.
His second mashup consists of 37 songs that include Adele's "Hello," Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do," Rihanna's "B---- Better Have My Money," Selena Gomez's "Good For You" featuring A$AP Rocky and "Same Old Love," The Weeknd's "I Can't Feel My Face" and Taylor Swift's trio of hits "Bad Blood" featuring Kendrick Lamar, "Style" and "Wildest Dreams."
