Though she admits she's not perfect, Miley Cyrus is intent on being true to herself and her fans, even if that means letting her personal life become the subject of media scrutiny. Most recently, the "We Can't Stop" singer admitted that she prefers weed to booze in a new interview with In Style magazine, according to Heat.

''When I smoke, I don't get that sick feeling I get when I drink, or that anger rising up. There's a reason Bob Marley was like some kind of Rasta Mother Teresa," she said. After being presented with a Bob Marley cake in a Youtube video, the star exclaimed, "You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much f**king weed!"

Cyrus's new smash single "We Can't Stop" certainly has its fair share of drug references, from cocaine ("Everyone in line in the bathroom/Trying to get a line in the bathroom") to MDMA ("Dancing with molly"), though the singer has made it clear that she's reflecting on her own experiences within Hollywood and the party scene, and has expressed frustration over people (including parents of children who worshipped the star during her Hanna Montana days) reacting negatively to her new, grown-up image.

"I just think the world is so lame because you can shoot people in a movie and you can let people like [George] Zimmerman off on trial, but you can't have someone going like this [Cyrus stimulates oral sex gesture]," the star told the New York Daily News recently. "That is so dumb to me. The last thing people need to worry about is my cute little video for 'We Can't Stop,' you know what I mean?

As for her love of marijuana, the star has never been shy about it, having been photographed on several occasions smoking a joint, wearing marijuana-themed clothing and not seeming to mind when personal photos of her smoking weed leaked online. In December 2010, she was caught on tape smoking salvia in yet another private video that leaked online, creating quite the buzz in the media.

"I'm not perfect...I made a mistake, I'm disappointed in myself for disappointing my fans," Cyrus said in an interview with Marie Claire.

Nonetheless, Cyrus seems proud of her newfound sense of self, finally free from the constraints of the squeaky-clean Disney machine that she and her image was bound to for years. She'll soon be releasing the second single from her upcoming album, a new track titled "23,"(Aug. 26), and MTV has announced they will be releasing an hour-long documentary special on the star's preparations for her new album.
