Have you ever wanted to delve into the private life of Miley Cyrus? Now you may be getting your chance, as MTV recently announced that they're planning a documentary about the former Disney star, filmed by the award-winning MTV News and Doc team, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The network confirmed yesterday a renewal for Ke$ha's "My Crazy Beautiful Life" series, and also revealed their plans to create a similar series for Miley Cyrus. The first season of Ke$ha's documentary show was filmed over the course of two years by her filmmaker brother, Lagan Sebert, but who will be filming Cyrus's show?

Miley Cyrus's documentary will apparently be a feature as opposed to be a series, an hour-long special following the star as she prepares for her new album, the first she'll be releasing after her split from Disney's Hollywood Records and her Hanna Montana image.

MTV programming president Susanne Daniels announced the news at the Television Critics Association press tour, Daniels calling the star a fashion and pop icon. Her special will detail her departure from her "Disney princess" image to her current (and controversial) new persona.

The Miley Cyrus documentary will premiere this fall, joining the roster of MTV's hour-long documentary specials from stars like Cyrus's pal Demi Lovato and rapper Drake, among others, from Lady GaGa to Nicki Minaj.

As for her upcoming album, Cyrus has worked with a number of hit producers like Pharrell for the project, who has promised big things to come for who he calls his "lil sis."

"[The new album is] gonna sound just like her and her influences, but it's not that hip-hop heavy," Pharrell revealed to MTV. "That's not what she does, that's not where she comes from. It's a part of what she loves, which is a very big difference."

As for her new pop smash "We Can't Stop" and it's trippy, polarizing video, Cyrus explained: "Like the song says, we can love who we want. I'm really free about the way I feel and who I am. Of course, I want people to love my music, but it's like, at the end of the day I make music for me. I make music 'cause I love it and I know, like I said, I put good energy into it. I want to make this song the biggest song in the world."

Cyrus's second single from her forthcoming album is titled "23" and set to hit airwaves on Aug. 26.
