Death Cab For Cutie: Kintsugi (Atlantic Records)
While Benjamin Gibbard, like most lead singers, is the most visible member of his band, Chris Walla was equally as integral to Death Cab For Cutie, not only as a guitarist, but also as a producer and songwriter. Now Walla is gone, and Death Cab is back with its first album since his departure. The band doesn't try many new tricks on the album, which is steeped in the moodiness fans have come to expect and love. It's looking like Death Cab will be just fine despite the absence of the prolifically talented Walla. Case in point: "Black Sun," which is classic Death Cab. Check out the official video below.

Action Bronson: Mr. Wonderful (Atlantic Records/Vice Records)
Multitalented Queens, N.Y., rapper Action Bronson shows his range in this video for "Baby Blue," in which he shows a range of humorous abilities, including a spoof of the famous barbershop scene in Eddie Murphy's "Coming To America." But it's not all laughs for Bronson, who has a knack for melody and classic r&b/soul flavors. His major-label debut, "Mr. Wonderful," is out this week.

Courtney Barnett: Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit (Mom + Pop Music)
Singer/songwriter Courtney Barnett has a sly way with words, even when titling her releases (previous EPs include "I've Got A Friend Called Emily Ferris" and "How To Care A Carrot Into A Rose"). With her debut full-length album, "Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit," unveiled last weekend at South By Southwest, the clever Australian combines sometimes raw, tired-and-true rock tropes with a verbal, stream-of-conscience vocal style. Expect to hear much more about Barnett as this album starts to find an audience.

Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts: Blaster (earMUSIC)
Scott Weiland gets more press for his off-stage and outside-the-studio behavior than for his music, which might explain why Stone Temple Pilots never got its due as a creative and innovative band. With STP and his other former group Velvet Revolver in the rearview mirror, Weiland continues to try to write Act 3 of his career with "Blaster," not his first solo foray but his debut with backing band The Wildabouts. Check out the fuzzed-out glam rock of "White Lightning" and the folk balladry of "Circles" in the teaser clip below.

Becoming Steve Jobs: The Evolution of a Reckless Upstart into a Visionary Leader ($19.83)
By Brent Schlender (Crown Business)
This book stands out from the rest of the books on Apple's former CEO Steve Jobs by answering one question: How did a young man so reckless and arrogant that he was exiled from the company he founded become the most effective visionary business leader of our time, ultimately transforming the daily life of billions of people? This well-researched book, written by a man who knew Jobs for 25 years, really delves into Jobs' personality and how he dealt with failing before he reached success.

Where You Go Is Not Who You'll Be: An Antidote to the College Admissions Mania ($16.02)
By Frank Bruni (Grand Central Publishing)

Frank Bruni creates a great guide for students, teachers and parents to help them deal with the stresses of the college admission process. The book drills that your self-worth shouldn't be determined by which college accepts you, while giving an honest guideline to help get students through the long process.

The Fifth Heart ($21)
By Dan Simmons (Little, Brown and Company)

Go back in history to the 1800s and watch Sherlock Holmes and Henry James come to America together to solve the mystery of Clover Adams' (wife of historian Henry Adams) death. Yoga Girl ($16.48)
By Rachel Brathen (Touchstone)

This yoga instructor who inspires more than one million followers on Instagram every day is finally taking her message to readers. She tells her story of being a self-destructive teenager and shows how she became the bohemian instructor she is in Aruba today.

Public School Superhero ($12.83)
By James Patterson, Chris Tebbetts and Cory Thomas (Little, Brown and Company)

This book written for youngsters tells the tale of Kenny Wright - a kid with a secret identity. On the outside he's just a normal boy who gets teased for being for a "Grandma's Boy" and for his devotion to the game of chess. While his peers make him feel lame at school, in his head he is Stainlezz Steel (a cool super-powered defender of the weak). Throughout the book Kenny battles with his two identities, hoping to get some of his cool Stainlezz Steel personality from inside his head show on the outside.

NARS Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Dark Rite
I've never bought into the makeup urban legend of never wearing blue eyeshadow. It depends on the type of blue and no other blue - navy, cerulean, sky or royal - holds a flame to NARS' Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Dark Rite.

The creamy, smoky blue pigment glided across my eyelids, instantly creating a sultry, come-hither gaze. I've been using it every day since I bought it last weekend, perhaps at the expense of it not going with my outfit, but who cares - this blue is like no other.

NARS' $25 soft touch pencils are also good for makeup novices because they allow for maximum control and are ideal for overlaying with other shadows.

Swarovski USB Bracelet

Swarovski has created the ultimate in stylish wearable technology with this bejeweled rose gold-colored bracelet that doubles as a USB key. This piece of arm candy snaps open to reveal an 8 GB USB flash drive inside. It also comes in stainless steel and crystal

So, if like me you need to make all of your accessories stand out, invest in the $125 wearable. The 120-year-old Austrian company also has USB pendants for $180.

Cropped wide-leg pants (Culottes)
This '70s classic is trending big time for spring (along with bell sleeves and fringes), seen flowing down the runways of Gucci and Céline.

Somewhat similar to an A-line skirt, with culottes you can play up the flared silhouette with a pair of flashy flats or a low pump and a cropped or close-fitting shirt. Alice + Olivia has a stunning wide-leg jumpsuit with a waist cutout made to look like a crop top and flared pants. Vince Camuto and Lauren Ralph Lauren have more affordable options.

Robin Piccone 'Penelope" Crochet One-Piece Swimsuit

The bathing suit industry has never been kind to me - for reasons I shall not elaborate on. So I made it my business to find a one-piece that provided maximum support but looked youthful enough to turn a few heads. I found it in this crochet overlay swimsuit from Robin Piccone.

Though it's a one-piece, the intricate knitted patterns give it the illusion of being a bikini. Piccone's swimsuit is a bit pricey at $130, but it's worth every penny and never fails to attract compliments.

Mini bags
Itty-bitty purses, I find, are playful and flirtatious versions of their more sensible-sized counterparts. It's like playing dress-up without looking like you're playing dress-up. On that note, I give a nod to Kate Spade, whose ladybug clutch covered in red crystals is the epitome of eccentricity and springtime. Bloomingdales also has an entire section dedicated to mini bold-colored bucket bags, clutches, cross bodies and satchels.

Hannspree Sports Watch
Electronics company Hannspree has introduced its own smartwatch as a cheap alternative to more expensive similar products like the Apple Watch. Users will be able to wear the device around their necks like a necklace and it will work with Android and iOS smartphones. The low-resolution screen will show incoming calls and texts and the battery will last 8-10 days on a full charge. The Hannspree Sports Watch is available now for 30 pounds in the U.K. and about $44 in the U.S.

Logitech MX Master Mouse

This week saw the debut of Logitech's MX Master Mouse, which provides a high-tech experience for desktop, laptop and tablet owners. The mouse is compatible with Windows PCs and Macs and can work with three devices at once. Features include customizable mouse buttons, a Darkfield Laser for tracking on different surfaces, a scroll wheel for moving quickly through documents and a thumb wheel for side-to-side scrolling.

The battery will last for 40 days on a single charge. Logitech will start selling the MX Master in the U.S. and U.K. in April for $100 (80 pounds) and the gadget will go for AU$150 in Australia in May.

HTC One M9 Smartphone
HTC's new One M9 smartphone has arrived one year after the debut of its predecessor, the One M8. Features include a 20 MP camera and sapphire camera cover lens for taking clear photos, as well as front-facing stereo speakers and Dolby Audio that deliver quality surround sound effects. The built-in HTC Themes app lets the user customize photos for the phone to give it a special look. HTC will make the One M9 available in stores in the next few days, according to The Independent.

Unbroken (Universal Studios)

Angelina Jolie returned to the director's chair for this inspiring biopic about Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner and World War II POW. The film focuses mainly on his 47 days lost at sea before the Japanese navy captured him and sent him to a prisoner-of-war camp.
