A South Carolina woman's sexual advances were rejected by her live-in boyfriend, so she allegedly threatened to shoot him.

33-year-old Ryan Rucker was sleeping Sunday morning at about 2 a.m. when his 30-year-old girlfriend Michelle Smart attempted to initiate sex, according to The Smoking Gun.

According to Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, Rucker said he pushed Smart off of him which prompted a fight. Rucker told police that Smart "told him she would shoot him because she has the gun." Smart told officers that Rucker "rejected her and pushed her off of him" and proceeded to punch and kick her repeatedly.

Police said that Smart "continually was changing her story throughout the investigation." According to The Smoking Gun, police said, "For these reasons, Ms. Smart's account became less believable."

Since Rucker "feared for his safety when Ms. Smart pulled the gun out and threatened to use it," and Smart was deemed the "primary aggressor" by police, she was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence. A Ruger handgun and six bullets were placed into evidence.

Smart was in police custody for approximately eight hours before posting bond in the afternoon.
