Country superstar Carrie Underwood reveals she is having emotional meltdowns due to her pregnancy. The "American Idol" winner, whose baby boy is due this spring, explains the emotional events come on quickly and can happen any place--at home or out in public.

One mom-to-be meltdown occurred recently when she and her NHL star husband Mike Fisher were at a car dealership.

"We're in the process of getting a new car. I've had the same car for five years and we've bonded. It's like a safety thing, we needed a safer car (for the baby)," the "Something in the Water" singer told Cambio.com.

"We went to the dealership and I looked at the used car area and started crying because I just envisioned my car being in there, somebody else was gonna be driving my car," the singer-songwriter explained.

Another emotional incident occurred while she was at home--standing in her closet:

"The day I realized I could no longer wear my clothes was not a fun day. I was in my closet... we had to go someplace nice and I just started crying and my husband walks in and he's just like, 'I don't know what to do right now...'"

In an interview with InStyle Magazine, Underwood said she avoided traditional maternity outfits to dress up her baby bump, saying "They're so hard for me to wear because there are so just so many that I don't like," she said. "But the great thing about fashion right now is that there are so many items that are looser. I just want people to know you don't just have to wear maternity clothes because you're pregnant."

Underwood and Fisher are confronting the songstress' mood swings together.

Her new album, "Greatest Hits: Decade #1," hit stores Dec. 9.
