The Phoenix Suns were aggressive with trades last season, and this season might not be any different.  Basketball Insiders' Alex Kennedy said he could see Phoenix trading one of their many point guards - such as Goran Dragic or Tyler Ennis - in a package to acquire a big man.

Phoenix wants to win now, which could prompt them to seek a blockbuster trade before the February deadline.  Kennedy pointed to the team's moves last season as reason to believe the Suns will be active again on the phones this year.

"They were very aggressive last year, weighing all of their trade options and having a lot of conversations once they realized that they had a playoff-caliber team on their hands," Kennedy wrote Wednesday.  "Also, we've seen that Ryan McDonough has done a good job making trades so far, like when he traded Jared Dudley and a second-round pick for Eric Bledsoe and traded Luis Scola for Miles Plumlee, Gerald Green and the first-round pick that became Bogdan Bogdanovic.

"With so many point guards on the roster (Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, Isaiah Thomas and Tyler Ennis), I could see Phoenix making a move.  They also have plenty of young assets and first-round picks, which are always attractive in deals."

Two names that come to mind as potential targets are Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green and Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson.  Green was the subject of trade rumors all of last season, and Gibson could be headed to the trade block because of Chicago's crowded frontcourt.

As for Phoenix, reports have indicated swingman Gerald Green could be on the move.  Dragic also seems somewhat expendable - despite the team playing him and Bledsoe together - after Phoenix extended Bledsoe.  Dragic can opt out of his contract in the summer, and if Phoenix doesn't want to pay him, they could look to move him this year as opposed to letting him walk for nothing in July.
