What have you done for me lately?

That is the prevailing attitude in the NFL. There is no sentimentality or extended grace periods. You win, you produce results, or they replace you with someone who will. As my father likes to say, it's a very simple ballgame.

Teams that struggle put their coach's job in jeopardy. As a result. here are three coaches who are on the hottest of seats.

3. Lovie Smith

Could Lovie Smith be fired after just one year with the team? This is a guy who coached Rex Grossman to a Super Bowl after all. But for someone with a defensive background, his Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one of the worst teams on that side of the ball this year. Thirty-first in opposing passing yards, 25th in opposing rushing yards. Tampa Bay is allowing an NFL-worst 422 yards per game. The team has suffered losses of at least 31 points twice in the past four games. If something doesn't change on the field for the Bucs soon, there is a strong possibility there could be a major change on the sideline next year.

2. Jeff Fisher

Is it time we can all finally admit that Jeff Fisher isn't a good NFL coach anymore? Fisher is just 29-39 in his past five years of coaching. He's 15-21 with St. Louis. I've seen turnarounds faster than that in retirement home dance competitions. Fisher never maximized Sam Bradford or developed any type of passing game during his time in St. Louis. His defense this year has totaled just one sack. One. That's it. The Rams are a mess and it's time for them to move on from Fisher and start over again.

1. Rex Ryan

Poor Rex Ryan. When all is said and done this year, the New York Jets will have suffered through six combined seasons of Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith. That is a nightmare of Freddy Krueger proportions. Adding to Ryan's problems is the complete meltdown of the Jets defense this season. After allowing just 253 rushing yards through the first four games, New York has given up 300 yards on the ground in the past two weeks. With a porous secondary and an anemic offense, the Jets don't have the luxury of lapsing in rush defense to that extent. I put the chances of Ryan keeping his job up there with finding the Holy Grail and figuring out just what was going on in "LOST." In other words, it's not happening.
