Sean Bean knows nothing when it comes to Jon Snow's paternity as the actor continues to change his mind as to whether he believes Ned Stark is the father.

The question on all “Game of Thrones” fans’ minds is who is Jon Snow’s mother and why is his bloodline so important to the story. Huffington Post Live asked Bean who he believed was Jon Snow’s mother is, but he wasn’t so forthcoming with details.

“I don’t think, I — I very much doubt that he’s my son. I’ve got my suspicions, but I don’t know,” Bean said.

However, Bean has previously stated during an interview with Vulture he was adamant about returning to “Game of Thrones” to help reveal Jon’s true paternity.

"I've definitely got some unfinished business that needs to be resolved there," Bean said, referring to the HBO series. "I'm obviously not Jon Snow's dad. And you need that to be revealed at some point, don't you?”

The actor also recently did a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) where he claimed the Jon Snow isn’t Ned’s son. As for when fans will finally get the answer to age old question, author George R.R. Martin doesn’t know either.

The “A Song of Fire and Ice” creator talked to KNME-TV at Jean Cocteau Cinema about the progress of his sixth installment in the novels. Martin doesn’t feel the need to rush through “Winds of Winter” in order to satisfy fans.

“I certainly feel a desire to finish the book. And it must be said that while I do get a lot of emails and mail of the type you’re describing, there are also many, many that are supportive, and probably far more of people saying ‘take your time, I love your books, whenever you’re ready I’ll be here…’,” Martin said.

“Game of Thrones” season five is currently in production. “Winds of Winter” does not have a set release date.
