Vin Diesel shared a private moment with his youngest child in a new post about his upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” film.

Diesel voices the character Groot in the Marvel movie and brought his son to see a special cut of the film, according to a Facebook post.

"My youngest who is [3 years old], has never been to a movie theatre before in his life," Diesel wrote. "Today, I was invited by Disney and Marvel to see the latest cut of Guardians Of The Galaxy and I was able to take the angels. WOW! "

"To Marvel, Disney, the incredible cast and team and especially James Gunn… Thank you for making a great movie! It was amazing and will always be special, for it was the first film I was able to take my family to see and oh how they loved it."

It isn’t the first time Diesel has opened up about his experiences working on the “Guardians of the Galaxy” project. Diesel shared in May during a Facebook Q & A session how playing Groot helped him cope with the death of his friend and fellow “Fast & Furious” star Paul Walker.

"It was very personal - it was the month after the accident happened with my brother Paul Walker and it was the first time I had worked since," Diesel wrote.

"Although it was challenging, just to get back to work was therapeutic - especially as Groot. There was an innocence about the character that was just refreshing - and it may have been more challenging under other circumstances, but at that time, it was very therapeutic."

“Guardians of the Galaxy” will be released to theaters on Aug. 1. Check out the official trailer for the Marvel film with in the video below.
