Fans will get to see Paul Walker and Vin Diesel together for the last time in "Fast & Furious 7" a little sooner, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Universal Pictures confirmed to THR the film would be released to theaters on April 3, 2015.  The film was scheduled for an April 10 release, but the studio wanted moved the premiere to an earlier date to allow for more international playdates.

"Fast & Furious 7" was originally scheduled for a 2014 release date, but the death of Walker pushed the production back.  Walker died on Nov. 30 in a car accident on his way to his Reach Out Worldwide charity event in California.

Diesel and the rest of the "Fast & Furious" cast have openly mourned the death of their costar and friend.  The 2014 MTV Movie Awards honor Walker and Diesel with an award for best on-screen duo.  Diesel accepted the award on Walker's behalf and gave a speech about his close friend.

"Back in 2002, it was you, the MTV audience, that first acknowledged this brotherhood between Paul Walker and myself by honoring us with the best team on film," Diesel said during his acceptance video. "So it's surreal to be standing here 12 years later and that you have been so generous to give us this award again.

"I know he's here in spirit," he continued, "you for honoring me and, more importantly, thank you for honoring that angel - my brother Paul Walker."

The production finished filming the rest of Walker's scenes with the help of his brother, Cody Walker.  However, "Fast & Furious 7" hasn't confirmed if CGI technology will be used to recreate Walker's likeness.

"Fast & Furious 7" stars Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham and more.
