A few weeks ago the reality TV star Vanessa Simmons and her boyfriend Mike Wayans welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Ava Marie Jean. The 30-year-old, who appeared on the MTV show "Run's House," gave birth on Feb. 13.

Shortly after giving birth Simmons posted a photo of herself feeding her bundle of joy. She captioned the flick, "MommyMode #nosleep #nomakeup." In new Instagram pictures, Simmons is seen cuddling the baby.

"Loving Her Loved Baby clothing! Thanks so much Lovebaby.com," she captioned one of the photos. Simmons has been dating Wayans for about eight years now; this was the first child for the couple. In a previous interview with Essence magazine she said her and her boyfriend plan on getting married but wanted to wait until after the baby was born.

"Of course we talk about [getting married] and it's looking good," she said. "But I don't want to be a pregnant bride. I wanna have a beautiful wedding where I can show off my figure in a beautiful long flowing dress."

Even though Simmons is busy with motherhood, she is already hard at work on a new web comedy series, called "Mixed." The show will follow her character, Samantha Hoffman, who is a bi-racial conservative who moves back in with her liberal parents after she graduates with her master's degree. According to Simmons Instagram page, two episodes have already been released. "Mixed" is executive produced by David A. Fisher and written by Fisher and Kiana Butler. Simmons, Amin Joseph and Felicia Davis are all listed as producers.
