It's going to be a Marvel/Warner Bros. showdown at the box office on May 6, 2016. Last week, it was announced that Zack Snyder's "Batman Vs. Superman" and "Captain America 3" will both be released on the same day and Marvel is NOT backing down.

Granted, Marvel did have that date first. Originally the Warner Bros. movie starring Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman was scheduled for a 2015 release date but production delays forced the studio to change it. Warner Bros. knew they would be up against a Marvel movie but at first the name of the project had not been revealed.

There was speculation that Marvel would switch their date but Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige denied the rumors saying that Marvel wasn't going anywhere.

"We're still on that date and we're going to be announcing soon what the movie will be on that date," he said at the time.

Just in case there are people who still believe Marvel might change their mind, the cast and crew of "Captain America" had a few choice words for "Man of Steel 2." Feud alert, anyone. While at a press conference to promote "The Winter Soldier," they were asked about the little showdown.

"Ugh," Anthony Mackie joked in the middle of the question being asked.

"Have you got plans to up the ante..." the reporter continued.

"Celebrity boxing match. That's what we're working on," producer Joe Russo said. "I don't know. I think, who said this best... when two cars are speeding at each other, one of them has to veer out of the way at some point."

"Hell yeah!" Mackie added. "Put it out there baby. Tell 'em, tell 'em man."

Mackie definitely had no problems voicing his opinion on the matter. The rest of the cast stayed silent (occasionally laughing) but Samuel L. Jackson did offer his take saying "there's Marvel you have heroes, and there's DC where you have interesting bad guys."

Clearly the cast was only having a little bit of fun with the "rivalry." So now that we know Marvel definitely is changing their release date, will Warner Bros. cave and announce a new date for "Man of Steel 2?"

There have been rumors that the studio was thinking of a possible April 2016 release date.
