According to the Chicago Tribune, "Man of Steel 2" (also known as "Batman Vs. Superman") is expected to begin filming outside of Yorkville, Illinois in mid-May. Filming in the area was originally supposed to start in in February but it was pushed back due to production delays.

A source told the site that the Yorkville site will be Clark Kent's farm house; the same one that was used in the first "Man of Steel." The farmhouse was built for the first movie but was torn down after filming ended in 2011.

Sometime late last year, it was rebuilt. The original movie also shot in Plano, Sugar Grove and downtown Chicago, but Chicago Tribune reports that only Yorkville will be used in the sequel. The majority of "Batman Vs. Superman" will be filmed in Michigan.

The upcoming movie stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Amy Adams and Diane Lane will reprise their roles as Lois Lane and Martha Kent, respectively.

"Man of Steel 2" is expected to be released May 6, 2016.
