Shooters on a pair of scooters unleashed a hail of gunfire on four men standing on a New York City sidewalk Tuesday night, killing one.

Miguel Doleo, 29, died from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the NYPD.

Three other men between the ages of 23 - 37 suffered gunshot wounds to their legs after two scooters carrying just as many men on each motorbike approached the victims.

The rear passengers fired off 10 rounds.

"The perpatrators wore masks and hoodies to block their identities and they fled on these scooters," Assistant Police Chief Benjamin Gurley said.

The motive remains under investigation.

One male was taken into custody. Police said it's unclear if he's directly tied to the incident.
