When Donald Trump was still the U.S. president, he tried terminating the Obamacare or ACA (Affordable Care Act). However, despite his numerous attempts, the ex-American leader failed to replace this healthcare law.

Now that Donald Trump is trying to win his second term in the upcoming U.S. presidential election in 2024, the ex-POTUS is once again promising that he will replace the Obama-instituted healthcare reform legislation.

But, will Americans allow this to happen? Here's what U.S. residents say about Trump's plan to remove Obamacare.

Donald Trump Claims Obamacare is 'Too Expensive'

On Tuesday, Dec. 26, Donald Trump posted on Truth Social. On his official social media post, the former U.S. president said that he would replace Obamacare with his own healthcare legislation.

"Obamacare is too expensive, and otherwise, not good healthcare. I will come up with a much better, and less expensive, alternative! People will be happy, not sad!" said ex-POTUS on Truth Social.

As of writing, his Truth Social post was able to garner over 19,000 likes and more than 4,000 ReTruths. According to Fox News' latest report, Trump's post comes as Congress has long tried to remove the ACA.

Because of continued failures, Republicans decided to abandon the fight against the former Barack Obama's signature healthcare reform bill. However, Donald Trump is still confident that he will be the one to repeal the ACA.

As of press time, Donald Trump claims that he will come up with a less expensive and better alternative healthcare reform bill that can replace Obamacare.

He added that if he wins the 2024 U.S. presidential election, the Trump Administration will ensure that establishing a more efficient healthcare law will be one of their top priorities.

Trump's visit to South Carolina marks his first visit to the state since announcing his intention to seek the presidency for a second term in 2024.

In the comment section, many Truth Social users don't believe the promise of Trump to remove Obamacare. One of them said that seven years ago, the ex-POTUS made the same promise and wasn't able to offer a better healthcare plan.

Aside from him, another American said that Donald Trump never had a concrete plan for healthcare reform during his time as the U.S. president.

He claimed that when Trump was serving the U.S., his plans only included imposing a Marshall law on day one, constructing massive migrant detention camps, and firing thousands of federal employees.

These are just some of the comments Americans made regarding Donald Trump's promise for a healthcare reform bill better than the existing Obamacare.
