Former U.S. President Donald Trump's GOP presidential primary is increasing as 2023 ends. This means that he is widening the gap between other Republican presidential candidates.

This was revealed by the latest survey conducted by Fox News. In November, Donald Trump's support in the GOP primary race was at 62%.

Now, his approval rating is almost at 70%. Here are other details you need to know about the standing of the former POTUS and other Republican presidential candidates in the GOP primary.

Donald Trump's GOP Presidential Primary Increases

According to Fox News, Donald Trump's support in the ongoing GOP primary is already at 69%, which is 7 points higher than his record in November and 26 points higher than his standing since February.

Meanwhile, his Republican presidential competitors are not doing so well. Florida Governor Ron Desantis is the 2nd option of the Republican primary voters, but he is just at 12%, a 1-point decrease from his 13% record in November.

Meanwhile, Nikki Haley is at 9% (down by 1% from his 10% in November), Vivek Ramaswamy at 5% (previously 7%), Chris Christie at 2% (recently 3%), and Asa Hutchinson at 1%.

When Fox News asked its survey participants who support Donald Trump regarding their second choice, around 50% voted for Ron Desantis, 20% said they wanted Ramaswamy. The remaining 14% said they'd support Haley.

Aside from this, American voters were also asked who they would vote for if the U.S. Presidential Election happened on Dec. 10. Based on the results, 50% of Americans said they'd vote for Trump, which is higher than 46% who said they would pick U.S. President Joe Biden.

In the hypothetical matchups between Haley and Biden, 49% chose the Republican presidential candidate, and 43% voted for the current president.

Meanwhile, around 47% of American voters chose Ron Desantis, the same number of voters who said they'd vote for Joe Biden (also 47%).

Based on the results of recent presidential election polls, Donald Trump will likely win the GOP nomination for the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.

But what will happen if Trump wins as the U.S. President again? First Post recently reported that Donald Trump winning the 2024 U.S. election could lead to disastrous outcomes.

For example, the former POTUS could reverse decisions made by the Biden Administration. These include those for healthcare, climate change, taxes, and immigration.

Some experts claimed that Trump might make the U.S. a more isolated country because of his "America First" approach, which could affect the relationship of the U.S. with other countries.

On the other hand, many American voters said that if Donald Trump wins the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, finances would improve, especially for Hispanic voters.

Another good thing voters believe would happen if Trump becomes the U.S. president again is the United States staying out of war.

These are just some of the predictions made by political experts and American voters if Trump wins the upcoming election. If you want to see more, you can click this link.
