"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" has released the first official movie poster for the upcoming film.

"Mockingjay" is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 21, while "Part 2" will be released in November 2015. The story follow Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) as she becomes the symbol of rebellion after she escapes the Quarter Quell in "Catching Fire" and becomes the biggest threat Panem's autocratic ruler has ever had to deal with.

However, the "Hunger Games" production team won't be releasing any details about "Mockingjay" film until Cannes Film Festival and San Diego Comic Con come around this year, according to Variety.

"Not since Luke Skywalker shot into the Death Star has one person had that kind of impact in a franchise film," Lionsgate production president Erik Feig told Variety. "What I really love about how (the 23-year-old Lawrence) plays that character is that Katniss is larger than life and yet she wears her emotions in a very relatable way. She's not a superhero by any stretch - she's all too human in the face of extreme conditions - and she faces them with the presence of mind that we all wish we had."

Producer Jon Kilik told Variety the team wants the "Mockingjay" films to hit new heights compared to the first two "Hunger Games" films.

"We are trying to create the reality of a future that's rooted in the past," Kilik said, adding the filming locations are key into creating the "Mockingjay" reality.

Director Francis Lawrence added fans will get to see the Capital and District 13 come to life like they've never seen before.

"We are going to new places," director Francis Lawrence told Variety. "No one's ever been to District 13, and we have not really been in much of the Capital, so creating that is the really fun stuff."
