Apple's iconic flagship retail location, located on Fifth Avenue in New York City, is known for its glass cube shape that leads to a vast underground store full of the company's best gizmos and gadgets for retail purchase. Now, thanks to the most recent snow storm to hit New York City, a single 32-foot pane of glass has been shattered.

According to 9To5Mac, several people were reporting that a snow blower had accidentally knocked into, and subsequently shattered, one of the large glass panels that make up Apple's iconic 5th Avenue Apple Store cube.

The shattered panel is just one of 15 that make up the structure. Each slice of glass was reportedly installed a couple of years ago in the total renovation that took place in late 2011. The project moved from 90 panels of glass to just 15, which cost Apple approximately $6.7 million. 9To5Mac did the math and, excluding labor costs, Apple is looking at a repair bill of roughly $450,000 to fix the damages done by the snow blower. It's unclear when Apple will conduct the replacement.

Right now, many Instagram, Twitter and other various social media users are posting photos of store's new damaged look, one of which can be seen above. It's worth noting that the glass does not appear to have broken but rather shattered across its entire surface, likely a result of the glass' built-in safety design.  The Apple Store has not been closed due to the damaged glass, but the snow storm is still making conditions around the city difficult to travel in, so the business likely won't be seeing many customers.
