The latest reports also claimed that "Game of Thrones" spinoffs will also be based on the five projects written by different authors as of the moment. According to George R.R. Martin, the writer of the novel which gave life to the series, some of the plans for the several spinoff projects are underway.

According to Chicago Tribune, the internationally-acclaimed writer also shared that the "Game of Thrones" spinoff will not be based on featuring the character one by one or how their journey will continue to another one. So for those fans who are hoping that their much-loved character will be featured in the said project, they will just be left disappointed.

Because of this, things are now clarified with regards to "Game of Thrones" spinoff that it will not be in the form of a sequel but on a prequel. Further, some may not be even set on Westeros. Though with the latest reports, it was confirmed too that Martin is also involved with writing the five projects and the prequel series.

Aside from him, four other writers will also be involved in writing the other four projects which include Jane Goldman, Carly Wray, Max Borenstein, and Brian Helgeland. Moreover, it was likewise reported that fans can also expect for a fifth series of the "Game of Thrones" spinoff.
