All Tyler Hoechlin fans who loved him as Superman will get to see him again as he is confirmed to return in "Supergirl" Season 2 finale. Last year, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had said that they definitely hope to bring Hoechlin back and now he is officially coming and fans would be able to watch him on screens when the finale airs.

"Supergirl" Season 2 finale is all set to welcome Tyler Hoechlin aka Superman. According to E! News, the "Man of Steel" is confirmed to make a comeback on the finale and this is surely great news for his fans who have been waiting to see him for a long time. His first appearance on "Supergirl" Season 2 premiere and the second episode had received rave reviews from viewers and now their wait is coming to an end.

If fans remember, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had said earlier last year in an interview that the team was thrilled to work with Hoechlin and it had proven to be an amazing experience. He also admitted that they hoped to bring him back saying that they selfishly hope they get to do it again because it had added to the show's worth. He especially credited Tyler Hoechlin for the success of Superman in "Supergirl."

Kreisberg believed that Hoechlin played Superman in a way they had not seen before. He also revealed that they were wary of the "Man of Steel" stealing Supergirl's thunder and therefore, they designed something that viewers have not really been acquainted with. Elaborating further, he said that they wanted a Superman who was relatable and fun.

The producer wanted the superhero in "Supergirl" to be shown as someone who was doing adventures for a decade and over the course of time got good at it. Tyler Hoechlin's Superman was coming as a supporting character for Kara, who was also a friend and a mentor.

"Supergirl" Season 2 airs on Mondays on The CW.
