As the “Terminator” franchise built up a lot of cash, viewers and reputation, its planned sixth franchise was reported to come to an end. Arnold Schwarzenegger had been said to terminate his own role on the expected franchise.

According to NY Daily News, an insider had told them that Schwarzenegger had already quitted reprising his role on “Terminator 6” and that “Terminator” had been finished with him. “The studio has taken the sequel off the production slate completely, meaning there is no preproduction or any plans for another sequel. The talent had been offered long-term deals, but this is not happening.”

Amid huge profit made from the “Terminator Genisys,” it was mentioned as well that directors and producers had just “fallen out of love” to make some more. One drastic news indeed following “Game of Thrones” Emilia Clarke who had also confirmed that she will not return as her character, Sarah Connor.

Yet, amid the “Terminator 6” news, it was still mentioned by the source that if a sixth film is planned to be made, an “independent production company” would be needed. More or less, convincing California governor Schwarzenegger to play at his age at 70 would make it a difficult task as reported.

Contrary to the update, Den of Geek reported that Producer David Ellison who aided “Terminator Genisys” had shared an uplifting statement regarding the “Terminator” franchise. “I will say we have resolved the future of the franchise and believe me it’s an incredibly bright future,” he said.

Adding fuel to the fire, Ellison added that they are thinking of a continuation of somehow what fans expected in “T2.” He then shared that they would be announcing something for the “Terminator” franchise this year. Yet, what Ellison is hinting to isn’t still confirmed. Also whether James Cameron would have involvement isn’t still confirmed.

The news just came after Schwarzenegger had quitted “The Celebrity Apprentice” blaming Trump. Paramount is also mentioned to still hasn’t commented on the update.
