Kate Middleton became the latest victim of sexist remarks form the BBC commentator during a rugby match in Paris last March 18. It has been reported that sports presenter John Inverdale shared that even if the Duke of Cambridge was there to witness the game, still she did not fully know the rules of the game.

With those sexist comments, the commentator has even slammed and blasted as a lot of angry viewers immediately took to social media their frustration over what he said. Some even suggested that he should get fired or retire. Prince William and Kate Middleton cheered on Wales' Six Nations 2017 finale against the host country France.

John Inverdale, as quoted on Daily Mail exactly quipped, "I don't know exactly how au fait with the rules Kate is, but I assume she must have been struggling a bit in the last 20 minutes. And she wasn't alone."

After that, he was asked to apologize for his sexist remarks but he did otherwise. Instead he shared that he was just confused by the nature of the extended end of the game and he did not actually doubt Kate Middleton's knowledge of the game. With this, he blamed hay fever for spurting such comments as per Express UK.

But this is not the first time Kate Middleton witnessed a rugby match or any kind of sporting event as part of her royal engagements. Together with her husband Prince William, Kate Middleton was also able to watch the Rugby World Cup in London back in 2015. They were seen cheering Wales against Australia match together with Prince Harry. The royal couple was also seen playing rugby with a group of Parisian children before the game.

A lot of royal insiders even say that Kate Middleton is more sports-oriented that her husband Prince William. It can be recalled that she almost beat him in a sprint way back February. So far, the Buckingham Palace did not release any comments about the sexist remarks.
