Kate Upton and her former flame Justin Verlander were spotted at a Philadelphia Flyers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning hockey at the Wells Fargo Arena on Jan. 11, but does it mean they are rekindling their romance?

The answer is no. According to E! News, despite their outing together the exes are not currently dating. Sources told the entertainment site the supermodel wanted to visit her the Detriot Tigers' pitcher who is recovering from a core muscle repair surgery he underwent on Wednesday.

"She wanted to be there for him," the insider told E! News.

Tigers fans shouldn't be too concerned about Verlander's injury. The pitcher is set to return to the field at the beginning of the 2014 season. However, Verlander would have to be cleared by medical professionals to play after his six weeks of physical therapy.

"Despite the fact this is a little bit of a setback physically, his previous workouts will probably allow him to catch up to speed much quicker," the team's manager said at a press conference, E! News reports.

Sadly, it doesn't seem like Upton wants to give things another go with Verlander. The couple never confirmed their romance, but multiple reports say the two were getting cozy early in 2013.

Upton recently ended a relationship with dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy after dating for about six months. Inside sources confirmed to US Weekly the coulple separated due to their conflicting schedules.

Upton, 21, and Chmerkovskiy, 33, were first spotted together in June 2013. However, sources told US they parted on good terms.

"They are really good friends still and speak all the time, but their schedules just made it too difficult and it fell apart," an insider told the gossip site. "[Chmerkovskiy] has a lot of respect for her, but it just wasn't working anymore."
