Samsung, the South Korean tech giant plans official announcement of the Galaxy S8 launch date on Feb. 27, 2017. The company has confirmed its presence with the invites and has scheduled its press event in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.

According to Hankyung, Samsung Electronics chief executive, Kim Dong-Jin said that he plans to meet with reporters' right after the meeting of demand leaders at the Samsung Seocho office in Seoul on the 15th, and to announce the official schedule at "MWC (Mobile World Congress)" for the Galaxy S8. 

It is also reported that all the previous Samsung Galaxy S series has always been launched at the Mobile World Congress held in February. This year's delay in the launch of Galaxy S8 flagship is considered to be delayed identification of ignition source in the unfortunate Galaxy Note 7.Also, the report claims that Samsung is expected to hold an unpacking event in New York in March and will go on sale in April 2017.

There are many speculations made on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and none of the leaks and speculations is confirmed by the South Korean tech giant.

Samsung Galaxy S7

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Smartphone was launched in February 2016. The device sports a 5.10-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels at a PPI of 577 pixels per inch. Under the hood, the device is powered by 1.6GHz Octa-core coupled with 4GB of RAM. It measures 142.40 x 69.60 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 152.00 grams.

 The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 200GB via a microSD card. It also packs a 12-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The phone runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) Smartphone and the connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Barometer.
