President-Elect Donald Trump Holds Thank You Rally In Mobile, Alabama
MOBILE, AL - DECEMBER 17: President-elect Donald Trump speaks during a thank you rally in Ladd-Peebles Stadium on December 17, 2016 in Mobile, Alabama. President-elect Trump has been visiting several states that he won, to thank people for their support during the U.S. election.

Earlier the US president-elect Donald Trump stated that "Twitter is like owning your own newspaper - without the losses." There is no doubt about it that the businessman who became the president-elect grew his Twitter audience to almost 19 million from 2 million followers.

Looking back at last year, Twitter faced a little trouble when several high profile executives left the company. While they had trouble to attract more users to their platform, Donald Trump posts was one of the most important things that brought them back on track.

According to the Guardian, there were rumors that the company might be sold to Disney or Salesforce. Since that did not happen the company got a chance to benefit from the most talked about user and that is nobody but America's very own president-elect Donald Trump.

Michael Pachter the analyst from Wedbush Securities said that "Trump is the best thing that ever happened to Twitter." As for Trump he has used the platform to even announce potential policy changes.

Trump is believed to have used the social media service to describe his views on public life and this turned out to bring the internet company a commercial success. He also used the service to blast CNN for its coverage of him as per CBS News.

The founder and CEO of Estimize Leigh Drogen said that Trump has his way of controlling the news cycle and he is brilliant at that! It is indeed a huge marketing asset for the social media giant. As for the president-elect and his associates Twitter is influential and good tool to reach out to millions of people.

Twitter lacked effective marketing and Trump will keep them relevant said Dorgen. Now that the use of Twitter is beneficial for all these purposes it is still a question if Donald Trump will make Twitter great again? He is surely going to continue using the social media platform as his followers are updated very much though twitter.
